    Hallertau Blanc (DE) Pellet Hops

A German aroma hop with an alpha acid percentage ranging from 9-11%. A daughter of Cascade, Hallertau Blanc was bred specifically to answer the needs of American craft beer styles. It has a moderate to strong flavor and aroma, featuring notes of pineapple, gooseberry, white grape, fresh lemongrass stalk, and passionfruit. It's reminiscent of many recent Southern Hemisphere varieties, but with a cleaner, less dank profile. Hallertau Blanc is used as an aroma variety, particularly in whirlpool and dry hopping to take full advantage of the very high myrcene fraction. Similar variety is Nelson Sauvin. Used in styles such as American ales, Belgian ales, and wheat ales.

  • LalBrew Farmhouse™

    LalBrew Farmhouse™

    3 in stock

LalBrew Farmhouse™ is a non-diastatic hybrid that has been selected to make saison-style and farmhouse style beers. This product is the result of the research and development work of Renaissance Yeast in Vancouver BC, Canada. LalBrew Farmhouse™ was selected using the most advanced breeding techniques. The Renaissance research team used classical and non-GMO methods to remove the STA1 gene, responsible for the diastatic activity of Saison yeasts. Care was taken to retain normal brewing sugar utilization to produce dry saisons. Additionally, the patented technology from University of California Davis (USA) ensures that the strain will not produce sulfurous favors, therefore enhancing the saison yeast aroma characteristics. QUICK FACTS Beer Styles:  Farmhouse style ales Aroma:  clove, pepper, fruit notes Attenuation:  High Fermentation Range: 20 - 30°C (68 - 86°F) Flocculation:  Low Alcohol Tolerance:  13% ABV Pitching Rate:  50-100g/hl to achieve a minimum of 1-2 million cells/ml BREWING PROPERTIESIn Lallemand’s Standard Conditions Wort at 20°C (68°F) LalBrew Farmhouse™ yeast exhibits: Vigorous fermentation that can be completed in 5 days. High attenuation and low flocculation. Note: Contrary to traditional saison strains, LalBrew Farmhouse™ lacks the presence of the STA-1 gene, therefore dextrins will not be metabolized and there is no risk of over attenuation and over carbonation after packaging. Lag phase, total fermentation time, attenuation and flavor are dependent on pitch rate, yeast handling, fermentation temperature and nutritional quality of the wort. USAGE The pitch rate will affect the fermentation performance and flavor of the beer. For LalBrew Farmhouse™ yeast, a pitch rate of 50 – 100g per hL of wort is suffcient to achieve optimal results for most fermentations. More stressful fermentations such as high gravity, high adjunct or high acidity may require higher pitch rates and additional nutrients to ensure a healthy fermentation. Pitching Rehydration and direct pitching of dry yeast into wort are both acceptable methods for inoculating fermentation. 11g Pack

  • One Step Cleanser

    One Step Cleanser

    34 in stock

One Step is an excellent oxygen based, no-rinse hard surface cleanser designed for brewers and wineries. Contains no chlorine, which can leave a film on glassware and corrode stainless steel. Requires two minutes of contact time, no rinsing required! Environmentally friendly and non-toxic. Use 1 tablespoon per gallon of water. What is One Step? One Step is the only environmentally sound, non-toxic, no-rinse cleanser on the market today for brewers and wineries. Unlike other cleansers that require rinsing because of their alkaline nature or that use material that can be harmful to the environment, One Step—the original no-rinse cleanser—uses active oxygen to clean your equipment. In addition to being designed to minimize residue and while maximizing detergency, One Step uses oxygen entrained within a mineral crystal that dissolves when combined with water. The oxygen is then released to form hydrogen peroxide—a compound long known for its sanitizing and disinfectant abilities. The hydrogen peroxide completes its work and then degrades into oxygen and water, leaving behind only the minerals that are stable, naturally occurring compounds—no different than minerals often found in drinking water. Because One Step is essentially non-foaming when used at the recommended concentration, it may be used in clean-in-place (CIP) systems as well as in the soak tank. One Step may be used on, essentially, all surfaces and is safe for brass, copper, aluminum and stainless, as well as polycarbonate and vinyl. Soaking and Manual Washing:Dissolve 0.5 oz per gallon of water. If heavy soils are present, 1–2 oz will boost detergency but remember to rinse to remove residue as well as soil. If surfaces are visibly clean prior to washing, no rinsing is necessary. CIP Cleaning:Use 0.5 oz for daily treatment of minimally soiled vessels and equipment, but for heavily soiled vessels such as fermenters, 3 oz is recommended. Heat the solution to 120–180°F and circulate for 30 minutes. Follow with a clean water rinse.

The humble plastic ball lock disconnect has been around a long time and is used by countless homebrewers around the world.  Despite the extensive use they have seen little to no innovation for decades and KegLand wanted to change this. Ball Lock Quick Disconnect - Gas In Direct connect 8 mm OD EVABarrier tubing Compact design won't interfere with keg stacking Made from highly chemical resistant materials Disassemble by hand for quick and easy cleaning Duotight Ball Lock QDs are offered in three sizes that correspond to the outer diameters seen on our line of EVABarrier Draft Tubing.  6.35 mm OD – features a very tight 3 mm ID that requires only 3.2 ft of length for adequate flow resistance. • Tannin FT Rouge

    Tannin FT Rouge

    1 review

    16 in stock

Scott’TanTM FT Rouge is a proprietary tannin specifically formulated for the North American market. It is a blend of highly reactive tannins derived from exotic woods and chestnut. The addition of FT Rouge at the beginning of red wine fermentation helps preserve the grapes’ natural tannins so they can combine with anthocyanins to create optimal stable color. Mouthfeel is also enhanced. FT Rouge provides anti-oxidative protection and will inhibit oxidative enzymes (such as laccase) associated with browning. To Use: Gradually sprinkle FT Rouge directly on grapes at the crusher or add to the must during a pump-over to obtain good homogenization. If subsequent additions of FT Rouge are desired, this can be done in increments of 0.5 lb/1000 gal (63 ppm) during pump-overs. If an addition of FT Rouge (or FT Rouge Soft) is made post-fermentation, we recommend waiting 3-6 weeks after the tannin addition before racking, fining, filtering or bottling. Storage: Dated expiration. Unopened the shelf life is 5 years at 18ºC(65ºF). Once opened keep tightly sealed and dry. Recommended for use with:  Red, Fruit Recommended Dosage: Red Vinifera Must: 200-500 ppm || 20-50 g/hL || 1.6-4.0 lb/1000 gal Red Non-Vinifera Must: 300-600 ppm || 30-60 g/hL || 2.4-5.0 lb/1000 gal Fruit: 200-500 ppm || 20-50 g/hL || 1.60-4.0 lb/1000 gal Tannin Source: Chestnut Hardwood FT Rouge Tannin additions are highly beneficial during rot management for red wines as they act as an antioxidant and help minimize the damage from laccase.

    Weyermann Pale Wheat

    278 in stock

Weyermann® Pale Wheat malt is an ideal foundation grain for continental wheat beer styles like Hefeweizen and Kristallweizen, and an essential ingredient in North American wheat ales. It adds very little color to wort but contributes a robust, malty-sweet flavor with notes of bread, nuts, biscuit, toffee, and light caramel. Wheat malts are high in protein, which helps produce fuller-bodied beers. Wheat malt can also improve head formation and retention, depending upon the other grist constituents. In top-fermented beers, Weyermann® Pale Wheat malt performs especially well, adding creaminess, body, and complex wheat flavors. Honey will naturally crystallize over time, which does not diminish the quality or flavor. If desired, you may heat gently in a warm water bath to liquefy. #9 Acquamark® Cork 45 × 24 mm

    9 in stock

Acquamark® is a whole, natural cork stopper designed to meet the needs of super-premium wines. Whole, natural corks are the most environmentally-friendly stoppers, and produce the top-quality seal needed to preserve fine wines through long aging. The Acquamark® cork goes beyond this normally high standard, applying a water-based coating of cork extract which binds to the stopper's surface, filling the lenticels and enhancing the sealing potential. Acquamark® is recommended for super-premium wines, wines that will be aged more than two years, or wherever the classic style of a whole, natural cork is desired. Specifications: Form Factor: Straight Material: Natural Cork Composition: Whole Cork Length: 45mm Diameter 24mm About Cork Dimensions... Most bottles tolerate a range of cork dimensions and still produce an acceptable seal. Wider corks create a tighter seal, but may be difficult to insert with small, handheld corkers. Micro-agglomerated corks compress less easily than whole, natural corks, and a smaller diameter agglomerated cork may have the same fit as a wider whole cork. Longer corks reduce the initial headspace in the bottle, and can also affect changes in ullage during long aging.
