The over sized barb (5/8" OD) is specially designed for 1/2" Silicone tubing. The larger size does two things: It stretches the tubing over the barb creating a tight fit requiring no hose clamps. The inside diameter of our barb is 1/2" compared to standard 1/2" barbs which have a smaller 3/8" size. This creates a full port design and will not restrict flow going through the barb. Temperature Control Coil
These USA made temp control coils are specifically designed for the CF series conicals and extend far enough into the conical to temp control both full and half batches. Used in conjunction with a temp controller our temp control coil will help manage your fermentation temps, allow for lagering and cold crashing.The Spike Brewing temp coil simply drops through the top of the lid and quickly attaches with a standard TC clamp. This is a huge improvement over conicals using coils mounted in the side wall. This quick attaching method allows you to lift the coil up slightly to pitch yeast, add hops, etc. The coils are spaced with a sufficient gap for easy cleaning. Simply CIP the conical or soak in brewery wash to easily clean. TC Thermometer

Racking Arm

Closed Pressure Transfer Kit
Introducing another cool accessory to compliment Spike Brewing CF series conicals. Their closed pressure transfer kit (CPT kit) will allow you to rack your beer from your conical to keg without exposing it to oxygen. This will help you avoid off-flavors that can be caused by oxygen coming in contact with your beer. 1.5" TC Thermowell
Spike Brewing's thermowell features a 1/4" temp probe opening on the outside which is mounted to a 1.5" TC fitting. This allows it to attach directly to the sanitary TC fitting on the conical. It also allows for an optional digital temp sensor to be attached. The probe is completely sealed from the outside. 4" Clear TC Cap
Probably the coolest add-on for the Spike Brewing conical line! There heard many brewers who have switched from clear carboys to stainless and they only have one complaint; I can't see my beer fermenting any more! Brewers are curious by nature and we're not ones to stop that curiosity so here is our solution to that problem.Their engineers designed a clear polycarbonate (same material as bullet proof glass) cap which allows you to see inside the top of the conical when it's fermenting. FLEX Heater
Unfortunately some of us will have to heat our FLEX during the long winter months. No fear, we have the solution! The FLEX heater was carefully engineered to match the heating needs to maintain set temperatures even in the coldest winter garage. It also uses a built in thermostat which stops the heater from getting too warm. This means you get a gentle warming action when your beer drops below your desired temp (opposed to rapid heating which can overshoot or 'cook' your wort). This Spike Brewing heater attaches to their insulated FLEX jacket via Velcro. It is positioned near the bottom cone section of the fermenter where the coldest liquid is. This will give the most even temperature throughout your fermenter (happy yeast!). Cooling Pump
All pumps are not equal! The Spike Brewing engineers tested over 15 pumps during the development of this project and found almost all small submersible pumps on the market are grossly overrated. This can greatly affect your temperature control as flow rate is directly proportional to cooling efficiency. Stainless Steel Ball Valve - 3 Piece
Spike Brewing's 1/2” stainless steel ball valve screws directly into our brew kettles, no need for an additional nipple to make the connection like competitors valves. This valve is dual sided with a male (which screws directly into your kettle) and a female end (which allows for a 1/2" barb or other 1/2" fitting). CIP Ball
Another cool innovation from the Spike Brewing engineers; their low pressure CIP ball! They wanted to design a CIP ball that didn’t require home brewers to purchase another pump if they already owned one. Small brewery pumps, like Chugger and March pumps used on our Spike System, are very common for most home brewers. However, most CIP balls require a much larger pump to work properly. This CIP ball was specifically designed to work with the more common 7GPM pumps. It has also been tested with larger sump pumps which are also commonly used for CIP applications. Spike Brewing also designed the CIP ball to fit through a 1.5" TC port. This allows for quick install of the CIP ball after fermentation. This works especially well with cleaning the temp control coil. They recommend a 5-10min CIP with 160F brewery wash to give a nice and shiny FLEX or conical fermenter. Pro Tip:If you do not have a FLEX+ lid with 1.5" TC port you can attach the CIP ball to the secondary port of your FLEX after an initial dump and rinse. Then simply CIP as described above!
