A dual purpose German hop with an alpha acid percentage ranging from 2.5-5.5%. The flavor and aroma is a mix of floral, fruity, herbal and spicy with fresh herbs, grass, dried flowers, citrus peel, and black tea. Useful in German and Belgian style ales. Similar varieties include Saaz, Crystal, Spalter Select, and Hersbrucker.
