Go-Ferm Protect
Go-Ferm Protect is a new formulation of Go-FermGo-Ferm Protect is a natural yeast nutrient that is added to the yeast hydration water before adding your selected yeast strain. Its complex formula provides your yeast with the proper sterols, unsaturated fatty acids and micronutrients needed to begin fermentation in optimal shape. The great thing about Go-Ferm Protect is that the proper nutrients and vitamins are introduced BEFORE the yeast is added to the must. This way 100% of the nutrients are available to your selected yeast strain and won't be stolen away by any indigenous yeast or bacteria that may be present in the must before your yeast can become established.New Advanced Formula!Go-Ferm Protect was created as a result of a multi-year study of problem fermentations by Lallemand and the National Agricultural Research Institute (INRA) in France. During this period, they looked at the adverse effects on the yeast from overripe fruit (>28 Brix), low nutrient levels, over clarification of the juice and poor fruit quality (Botrytis, rot, high bacteria count, insecticide and fungicide residue). Their research showed that musts deficient in sterols and unsaturated fatty acids made yeast more susceptible to ethanol toxicity (high alcohol), osmotic shock (high sugar), temperature and others stress factors. In response to this data they created the NATSTEP (NATural STErol Protection) process that incorporated sterols, unsaturated fatty acids, as well as vitamins and minerals into an advance yeast rehydration nutrient: Go-Ferm Protect.Go-Ferm Protect provides a combination of protective and nutritional benefits that ensure your yeast begins your fermentation in peak form! The best part is that if your fruit is in great shape then Go-Ferm Protect will simply help your yeast out that much more!Go-Ferm Protect does not contain any DAP, as DAP is harmful to the yeast during the rehydration process. GO-Ferm is usually used in conjunction with Fermaid K yeast nutrient; where Go-Ferm Protect is used at yeast hydration then Fermaid K is added at the first signs of fermentation and again after 1/3 sugar depletion. To UseUse at a rate of 1.25 g Go-Ferm Protect per 1 g of yeast. A rough approximation of weight is 1 tsp = 3.2 grams. It is highly recommend using a scale to weigh the product for an accurate dose. It is not recommend relying on these rough conversions for accurate dosage rates.

CIP Ball
Another cool innovation from the Spike Brewing engineers; their low pressure CIP ball! They wanted to design a CIP ball that didn’t require home brewers to purchase another pump if they already owned one. Small brewery pumps, like Chugger and March pumps used on our Spike System, are very common for most home brewers. However, most CIP balls require a much larger pump to work properly. This CIP ball was specifically designed to work with the more common 7GPM pumps. It has also been tested with larger sump pumps which are also commonly used for CIP applications. Spike Brewing also designed the CIP ball to fit through a 1.5" TC port. This allows for quick install of the CIP ball after fermentation. This works especially well with cleaning the temp control coil. They recommend a 5-10min CIP with 160F brewery wash to give a nice and shiny FLEX or conical fermenter. Pro Tip:If you do not have a FLEX+ lid with 1.5" TC port you can attach the CIP ball to the secondary port of your FLEX after an initial dump and rinse. Then simply CIP as described above! Specifications: 1.5" TC x 1.5" TC 304SS Low flow design

This racking arm provides 6" of total travel allowing you to draw clear wort even with the hoppiest of beers. The racking arm also incorporates a position indicator that is welded on so the orientation of the racking arm can easily be seen from the outside of the sealed conical (especially useful in closed pressure transfers). Specifications: 1.5" TC 304SS Position indicator Works with every size conical Made in the USA **A 1.5" gasket and clamp will need to be purchased separately if you do not already have spares**

Carb Stone
If you didn't already know the Spike Conical is a unitank! This means it is designed to handle pressures up to 15psi. This capability allows you to add 15psi of pressure needed to carbonate your beer before transferring to your keg. This will reduce carbonation times from upwards of a week down to less than 24hrs. Spike Brewing's carb stone is designed to attach to the outside of the racking port butterfly valve. This means the carb stone can be installed when you need it and won't be sitting inside the tank during the entire fermentation process. This eliminates the chance for the stone to become clogged. It also has a protective stainless housing which prevents damaging the very brittle 'stone'. Temperature Control Coil
These USA made temp control coils are specifically designed for the CF series conicals and extend far enough into the conical to temp control both full and half batches. Used in conjunction with a temp controller our temp control coil will help manage your fermentation temps, allow for lagering and cold crashing. The Spike Brewing temp coil simply drops through the top of the lid and quickly attaches with a standard TC clamp. This is a huge improvement over conicals using coils mounted in the side wall. This quick attaching method allows you to lift the coil up slightly to pitch yeast, add hops, etc. The coils are spaced with a sufficient gap for easy cleaning. Simply CIP the conical or soak in brewery wash to easily clean. The temp coil is also a part of Spike Brewing's TC100 Temp Control System and Flex TC100 Bundle that includes everything you need to control your fermentation temperatures! Conical Heater
Unfortunately some of us will have to heat our conicals during the long Winter months. No fear, Spike Brewing has the solution! Each conical has its own sized heater and the wattage of each is carefully designed to match it. They also use a built in thermostat which stops the heater from getting too warm. This means you get a gentle warming action when your beer drops below your desired temp (opposed to rapid heating which can overshoot or 'cook' your beer). This heater attaches to Spike Brewing's insulated conical jacket via Velcro. It rests on the bottom cone section of the conical where the coldest liquid is. This will give the most even temperature throughout your fermenter (happy yeast!). Specifications: Different wattages for each fermenter (ranging from 80w to 150w) Built in 90F thermostat to prevent the heater from overheating your wort 5' long cord Detailed TC-100 product guide:Product Guide.pdf Limited availability in store. Drop ships from vendor.

TC-100 Bundle
Spike Brewing's TC100 temp control system will manage both cooling and heating of your Spike Conical. The digital controller's temp probe will feed into the included thermowell on our CF Series Conical. Also included is a specially fitted neoprene jacket which features reinforced port holes to reduce the chance of ripping during install. Last (and maybe the coolest item) is Spike Brewing's special insulated tubing. This almost eliminates tube cooling losses and will prevent your cooling lines from sweating all over your floor! Cooling:When the temp in the conical rises above the set point it will turn on the pump submerged in your cold water reservoir (bucket of ice water, dorm fridge, aquarium or glycol chiller, DIY AC chiller, etc). This will pump cold water/glycol through the temp control coil, which mounts to the lid, cooling your beer until it reaches the controller set point. Heating:When the temp in the conical falls below the controller set point the optional heater will kick on warming the unit up. Detailed product guide:Product Guide.pdf TC100 Package:-Digital closed loop controller (heating and cooling)-Insulated tubing (more efficient and no more sweaty tubes!-Temp control coil-Neoprene insulated jacket-Submersible pump (pumping cold water through the temp coil)-Temp Coil Quick Connect Fittings TC100 + Heat Package:-TC100 Package (above)-Optional heater (for us northern brewers) Limited availability in store.
