    Storage Solution for pH / ORP Electrodes - Milwaukee MA9015 - 230ml

    2 in stock

MA9015 is a lab grade electrode storage solution prepared with premium chemicals to improve the performance and extend the life of your pH and ORP electrodes, testers and pens. To ensure a quick response and free-flowing liquid junction, the sensing element and reference junction must not be allowed to dry out. Properly storing your pH electrode in a solution keeps the glass membrane well hydrated which maintains proper function and provides accurate readings. MA9015 also helps keep the junction in your pH and ORP electrode flowing which is critical for fast results.  To clean your pH or ORP electrode use MA9016 Cleaning Solution in conjunction with MA9015 Storage Solution. In general, and depending on the frequency of use and the type of application, soak your pH or ORP electrode once per week in MA9016 Cleaning Solution for about 15 minutes. After soaking, remove the electrode, rinse with Distilled Water and put MA9015 Storage Solution in the probe cap before storage. This will keep your pH or ORP sensor hydrated and ready for the next use. Design Features Fundamental for the correct use of electrodes and for obtaining the most accurate and reproducible readings. Formulated to minimize organic growth on your electrode. Sealed against light with air tight, tamper proof cap. Factory blended to precise standards in a dedicated, temperature controlled environment. Simply open and add to the cap of your electrode or tester. Each bottle marked with lot number and expiration date.

  • Purple Corn Cracked - Non-GMO Purple Corn Cracked - Non-GMO

    Purple Corn Cracked - Non-GMO

    Out of stock

Cracked, unmalted and unmodified heirloom purple corn is an excellent addition to the mashbill for bourbon or corn whiskey; brewers can use it for color and flavor adjustment in pale lager, traditional cream ale, and other beer styles. In brewing trials, purple corn brought sensory notes of corn chip, honey, and fruit, as well as a red-to-purple hue depending on inclusion rate and recipe. Distilled spirit produced from a base of pale barley malt and purple corn displayed strong fruity, sweet, and almond attributes with undertones of caramel. The main difference between our flaked corn and this product is that the purple corn is not gelatinized. When brewing with purple corn, it’s recommended to follow a cereal mash procedure to gelatinize and liquefy the starches in the unmalted grain. Cereal Mash Procedure  In a cereal mash, a small proportion of malt from the grain bill is added to a separate boiling vessel called the adjunct cooker, along with the entire charge of unmalted grain. The malt and grain mixture in the adjunct cooker undergoes a short mash rest followed by boiling, after which it is added to the main mash with the remainder of the malt. Boiling gelatinizes the starch in the unmalted grain, while the malt enzymes help liquefy the gelatinized starch before and during the main mash. As a reference, the following schedule was used to brew a 3 hL batch of purple corn lager at the Rahr Technical Center pilot brewery:  Mash Tun Profile and Ingredients Grain bill– 80.00% Rahr Premium Pils, 20.00% Purple Corn Enzyme Additions – Hitempase 2XL – 12 g, Bioglucanase – 15 mL Adjunct Cooker Mash: Mash In 105°F 1st Rest – 105°F for 20 min 2nd Rest – 212°F for 15 min Three Step Mash Mash In 122°F 1st Rest – 122°F for 20 min 2nd Rest – 156°F for 45 min Mash-Off – 171°F for 1 min  Sources consulted: Purple Corn: Pilot Brewing Trial Overview, Rahr Technical Center, July 2020 MBAA Practical Handbook for the Specialty Brewer Vol. 1: Raw Materials & Brewhouse Operations, 2016

Voss multi-strain comes from Sigmund Gjernes in Voss. The flavor and aroma primarily stem from orange, tangerine, and citrus. Secondary flavors include tropical fruit and mild spiciness. Voss ferments well between 59-104°F and will ferment faster at higher temperatures. At an optimal temperature of 88-95°F, you can expect fermentation to take up to 72 hours. Voss is well-suited for farmhouse ales, IPAs, pale ales, and sours. The Voss kveik comes from Sigmund Gjernes in Voss, Norway. Voss is situated south of the Jostedal glacier. Voss was somewhat isolated from the larger cities, and most people were farming and self-sustained. People shared kveik mainly with each other, and because of the distance to other settlements, the kveik was rarely mixed with other types. The Voss kveik is unique in taste and aroma, much because of the great work done by Sigmund and others to preserve the yeast throughout the years. The Multi-Strain DifferenceKveik Yeastery's unique multi-strain kveik yeasts capture the true essence of traditional Norwegian farmhouse brewing, delivering a depth of flavor and robust fermentation unmatched by single-strain alternatives. While other suppliers offer isolated kveik strains, Kveik Yeastery is the only source for authentic, dried multi-strain blends, providing brewers with the complex, nuanced profiles that define classic kveik. These diverse blends offer a superior brewing experience, unlocking the full potential of this remarkable yeast. Beer and spirits were a big part of celebrations and gatherings for birth, confirmations and burials, and people made their own beer with kveik, especially for these gatherings. BrewZilla PPSU Sight Glass Upgrade Kit

    1 review

    Out of stock

Upgrade Gen 3 and Gen 4 BrewZillas with a clear sight glass to monitor volume levels throughout your brewing process Replaces the solid metal recirculation pipe so you can check volume levels even while the malt pipe is draining The PPSU sight glass now comes standard on Gen 4.1 BrewZillas *Requires measuring, cutting, and assembly* This upgrade kit is suitable for BrewZilla Gen 3 and Gen 4 breweries. This will enable you to see the liquid level through the incredibly strong and crack resistant PPSU sight glass. This can be quite handy when you're sparging to a known level as the malt pipe would normally be sitting on top of the halo ring making it difficult to see the liquid level from the indentation markings inside the BrewZilla. Assembly Required: You will also need plumbers tape or food grade Loctite for the female camlock x female 1/2" fitting that comes on the BrewZilla's recirculation arm. The BrewZilla's camlock fitting is reused in the assembly of the sight glass, do not dispose of it prematurely. Please note: This kit includes a one size fits all sight glass for multiple models and sizes. You will need to cut down the 39" PPSU tube to fit your specific model of BrewZilla depending on the length of the recirculation arm. We recommend using a pipe cutter to cut the pipe cleanly See the video below showing you how to measure and install this on a BrewZilla. Includes: Brewzilla Sight Glass PPSU Tube - 39.3" (100cm) Sight Glass Connection Kit (Ball valve & Elbow) Sight Glass Graduation Sticker for 35L, 65L or 100L

Compact and simple to use, with a small footprint for brewing indoors the Grainfather G30³ v3 provides a home brewery system that with superior design, innovative features and the latest technology, allows you to brew professional quality craft beer at home. The Grainfather G30 v3 is your all in one brewing system, to make beer from grain. The sleek look, user friendly, intuitive design, and innovative features, make this your perfect brewing companion for both experienced and beginner all grain brewers. It is made from high quality 304 grade stainless steel with a 8 US Gal capacity, designed to make up to 6 US Gal of beer from one brew. New Features on the G303: 1. ) Auto Reset Switch Lifting and reaching underneath the boiler to reset your electric homebrewing system is now a thing of the past! The new auto reset switch avoids needing a physical, manual switch to reset the system; ensuring homebrewers can quickly and easily resume their brew day if an unexpected reset is required. 2. ) Grain Basket Assembly The newly redesigned Perforated Edge Grain Basket on the G303 features side wall perforations to improve wort flow and to prevent a stuck mash. In addition to the redesigned grain basket, the new Rolled Edge Mash Plate filters the wort efficiently without warping. The new rolled edges mean that there is no need for silicone seals, making the plates much easier to install, remove, and clean. The new grain basket and mash plate design means that there is no need for overflow pipework or a top plate, allowing for a hassle-free brew day. Same Great Features: Benefits of Electric Heating The Grainfather is electrically powered and designed to be used indoors. No need for burners, or hot plates, just plug in and go! It is fitted with a controlled heating element so that the correct power can be used depending on what stage of the brewing process you are at. A gentler heat is used at certain stages for accurate temperature control and and to minimise the risk of scorching and after the mash it can also ramp up the heat quickly for when more vigorous heating is required. Heating from mash to boil takes as little as 20 minutes. Wireless Control for Heat, Power, and Pumping Use the Grainfather G30³ Control Box in conjunction with the Connect App and Grainfather Brewing Community for the ultimate brewing experience. Create your recipes on the Grainfather Brewing Community and then sync these recipes with the Connect app. The control box has Bluetooth connection to your mobile device so it can be controlled remotely. This allows you to multitask or simply relax while brewing and then be alerted when to return to your next step.  Features: PID algorithm works in conjunction with a triac for more stable heating and so you can control power output Programmable step mashing Delayed heating - fill your Grainfather with water the night before and wake up to your water at strike temperature ready for brewing straight away Change between celsius and fahrenheit easily Waterproof graphic display Use in manual mode or with app Grainfather App Ability to import recipes (Beer XML files) - NOTE: iOS9 and higher Set your own boil temperature (for different altitudes) Change between celsius and fahreheit easily Grainfather calculators provided in app Create recipes on the Grainfather Brewing Community and then sync these with the Connect App to brew Powerful Magnetic Drive Pump A 6 Watt, 1,800 RPM magnetic powered pump has been fitted to recirculate the wort through the grain bed for maximum brewing efficiencies. This is also used during the cooling stage to pump hot wort through the wort chiller. The pump also makes the cleaning process quick and easy by pumping the cleaning detergent through all the pipe work. The magnetic drive pump has been selected after rigorous testing of multiple pump styles to ensure it meets the tough demands required of continuous brewing. The pump is concealed by a stainless pump cover, which is easy to pop open, giving you direct access. A pump filter is fitted inside the Grainfather to prevent hops and stray grain from entering the pump or pipework, keeping the wort clear while also preventing any blockages.  Support Grainfather is fully supported around the world by a fantastic support team who love brewing just as much as you do. Our support team is here for any technical enquiries on brewing or how the Grainfather works, as well as general customer service enquiries. • Grainfather Wort Chiller

    Grainfather Wort Chiller

    1 in stock

A counter flow wort chiller has two connection points. One side is connected to the Grainfather, while the other is connected to the cold tap water. The hot wort is then pumped through copper inner coil while the cold water is pumped through the outer in the opposite direction, providing instant cooling and heat exchange. The cooled wort can then be pumped directly into your clean, sterile fermenter. This reduces the chance of contamination as nothing is inserted in the wort, and it is only passing through the wort chiller one single time, going straight to the sterile fermenter where the yeast is added. 23 L of wort can be cooled in as little as 20 minutes. The cooled wort temperature will be cooled to approximately 5 degrees above whatever your tap water temperature is.
