IREKS Malt - Spitz Malt

Description

IREKS Spitz is an under-modified "chit" malt that when used in conjunction with a Pilsner or any other highly modified malt at a rate of 5–10% will enhance the beer’s body and improve head retention. It is made from two-row barley and is ideal for Pilsners and light lagers.

Typical Usage Rates: Up to 10%

Typical Beer Styles:

  • Ales
  • Pilsners

Malt Analysis

  • Protein max: 12.5%
  • Color (ASBC): 1.2 – 2.3
  • Moisture: 4.5% Max
