Ella™ was created by the HPA breeding program in Australia and commercialized in 2011. It's ancestry is a cross pollination of high alpha Australian and Spalt hops. Ella™ can be dialed back for subtle notes of floral and spice that work well in a variety of lagers, or let loose for a big tropical flavor that is perfect for highly hopped styles of beer.
Ella™ imparts a strong floral flavor with a deliciously spicy finish. Recommended for lagers, pale ales, pilsners, and sour beers.
