    Huell Melon Pellet Hops

    108 in stock

A German aroma hop with an alpha acid percentage ranging from 7-8%. Bred by the Hop Research Center of Hull, this new variety is a daughter of Cascade released in 2012. Huell Melon's unique but mellow fruit character makes it a good choice for styles where overpowering hop flavor may not be warranted. It melds well with the yeast character of Hefeweizen and Belgian ales, but can also work as as stand alone hop as a feature of a summer seasonal or Brett fermentation. It has a mild to moderate aroma with vivid impressions of summer melon (especially honeydew) and ripe strawberry bouquet. All hops are nitrogen flushed to preserve freshness.

    7 in stock

By Drew Beechum and Denny Conn The heavyweight champions of homebrewing showcase their skills in Homebrew All-Stars--a collection of techniques, tips, and recipes for homebrewers. Shake up your homebrewing routine with the masters. From the mad scientists who brought you Experimental Homebrewing comes an all-new type of brewing book. For the first time, drop by the garage - err, we mean brewery - of 25 of today's most talented homebrewers. Pick their brains about ingredients and equipment, learn their techniques, and of course, try their recipes. Among the brewers in this book, you'll find traditionalists and rule-breakers, gear nerds and the science-obsessed. Start a solera with Mike Tonsmeire, talk temperature control with John Palmer, or tweak your pH with Martin Brungard. Featured brewers also include: Fred Bonjour, Amanda Burkemper, Chris Colby, Kent Fletcher, Joe Formanek, Lars Marius Garshol, Jeff Gladish, Gary Glass, Janis Gross, Mary Izett, Annie Johnson, Brandon Jones, Mike Karnowski, Mike "Tasty" McDole, Marshall Schott, Nathan Smith, Curt Stock, Gordon Strong, Roxanne Westendorf, Keith Yager, and two guys named Denny and Drew. Brewers cover their favorite malts, hops, and yeasts, and recipes include a wide variety of styles, from IPAs and stouts to saisons and lagers. Whether you're looking to become the best brewer ever or simply looking for a new recipe to try this weekend, this book is a home run. Contributor Bio(s) Drew Beechum has been brewing and writing about brewing since he first picked up a kettle in 1999. Green Bottle Wax Beads, 1 lb

    4 in stock

1 pound package of green color bottle wax beads. Bottle Wax Beads help you achieve a tough, moisture-resistant coating that preserves freshness, flavor and fragrance in your wines, or beers, with these blends of FDA approved waxes. You can dip the bottle in the wax for a more rustic look, or use a small measuring cup or spoon if you want the wax in a specific location.1 LB of beads is good for approximately 65 bottles. To use:  Make sure that bottle and cork are clean and dry.  Melt wax in a suitable container, maintain a temperature between 160-170F.  Dip bottle top in wax for 10-15 seconds then pull straight up, keeping inverted.  When the excess wax run-off stops, turn bottle upright. Warning: Do not drip wax on your hand, it may burn you.  Heating wax to a temperature over 450F could result in combustion.  Never pour water on a wax fire (fire will spread).  Use a fire extinguisher or cover with a metal lid.
