Not all hose barbs are created equal! The Spike Brewing special 1.5" TC x barb fitting features a shorter profile and over sized diameter barb. The over sized barb (5/8" OD) is specially designed for 1/2" Silicone tubing. The larger size does two things: It stretches the tubing over the barb creating a tight fit requiring no hose clamps. The inside diameter of our barb is 1/2" compared to standard 1/2" barbs which have a smaller 3/8" size. This creates a full port design and will not restrict flow going through the barb. The Spike Brewing engineers have totally redesigned the 2" TC sight glass from the ground up! Standard sight glasses use 4 long bolts that need to be tightened in a criss-cross pattern to get even pressure to avoid leaks. Their new design is made up of only 5 parts compared to 26 parts in a standard sight glass. No tools are required to assemble or disassemble; simply twist the knurled end cap off. The glass is also protected by the stainless guard which protects the glass from even the clumsiest brewer. The sight glass allows for direct attachment to the bottom port of our conicals. The sight glass allows for monitoring flow, color and clarity. A sight glass is also helpful when collecting yeast. Racking Arm

4" Clear TC Cap
Probably the coolest add-on for the Spike Brewing conical line! There heard many brewers who have switched from clear carboys to stainless and they only have one complaint; I can't see my beer fermenting any more! Brewers are curious by nature and we're not ones to stop that curiosity so here is our solution to that problem.Their engineers designed a clear polycarbonate (same material as bullet proof glass) cap which allows you to see inside the top of the conical when it's fermenting.
