Spike Brewing's TC-100 temp control system will manage both cooling and heating of your FLEX. The digital controller's temp probe inserts into the included thermowell that attaches to the secondary port of the FLEX. Speed up heating times with the Heat Exchanger Dish (HED) for Gen 4 BrewZillas. Due to the concave bottom and central draining hole, the wort being recirculated through the pump will pass through the malt pipe and then down through the boiler false bottom. The wort would normally then follow the path of least resistance, making a b-line for that drainage hole. What this Heat Exchanger Dish does is force that recirculating wort up to the edge of the BrewZilla base and pass over the elements for a longer period, this then aids in faster heating exchange with the wort, which can help you on a brew day reach those temperatures much quicker. For use with the Gen 4 65L BrewZilla. It is not compatible with any previous generations of BrewZillas or DigiBoils. A counter flow wort chiller has two connection points. One side is connected to the Grainfather, while the other is connected to the cold tap water. The hot wort is then pumped through copper inner coil while the cold water is pumped through the outer in the opposite direction, providing instant cooling and heat exchange. The cooled wort can then be pumped directly into your clean, sterile fermenter. This reduces the chance of contamination as nothing is inserted in the wort, and it is only passing through the wort chiller one single time, going straight to the sterile fermenter where the yeast is added. 23 L of wort can be cooled in as little as 20 minutes. The cooled wort temperature will be cooled to approximately 5 degrees above whatever your tap water temperature is.
